Forums generally within standard P1 scope
| Forum | General authority | Important limit |
|---|---|---|
| Small Claims Court | Civil claims within the court’s jurisdiction. | The court’s monetary, subject-matter and remedial limits still apply. |
| Ontario Court of Justice — Provincial Offences | Proceedings under the Provincial Offences Act, including many traffic and regulatory charges. | The specific charge, consequences and competence must be reviewed. |
| Ontario Court of Justice — permitted summary matters | Only the Criminal Code summary-conviction offences and non-offence proceedings authorized for regulated agents. | Not every criminal, summary or hybrid allegation is permitted. |
| Administrative tribunals | Proceedings before tribunals established under Ontario or federal legislation. | The enabling statute and tribunal rules must allow the service and representation. |

Common matters outside a standard P1 licence
A standard P1 paralegal does not independently handle Superior Court civil litigation outside Small Claims Court, Divisional Court or Court of Appeal matters, wills and estates, real-estate transactions, indictable criminal matters or most family-law representation.
Family law
Only paralegals with separate Family Legal Services Provider authorization may provide the limited family services defined by By-Law 4. Ghasedak does not advertise FLSP family-law services on this site.
Higher courts
An appeal or judicial-review issue may require a lawyer even when the original matter was within paralegal scope.
Documents alone
Calling work ‘document preparation’ does not make an out-of-scope legal service permitted.
Changing facts
A file must be reassessed if new claims, charges, parties or remedies arise.
What Ghasedak currently presents as a core service
The main advertised paralegal areas are selected Small Claims Court, Landlord and Tenant Board, and traffic or Provincial Offences matters. Other tribunals and permitted summary-conviction matters are considered only after an exact scope and competence review.

The practical answer is in this guide; use these links to verify live changes and apply officially.
Ghasedak explains the eligibility, evidence, process and important cautions in plain language. Because laws, forms, fees and filing methods can change, also check the live official instructions on the day you submit. This is general information, not individual legal advice.
