Which changes and which fines? — clarification checked September 18
The official update links changes under both Bill 60 and Bill 97; the package should not be attributed entirely to Bill 60. The increased maximum fines concern prosecutions for RTA offences under section 236, not LTB administrative fines, costs or compensation.
The shorter review period requires immediate file assessment
A party considering review should obtain the order, calculate the deadline and assess the permitted review grounds promptly. A request for review is not a general rehearing or an automatic appeal.
